If you have a baby, is it because they need to be taken care of? It is often believed that this answer is “yes”, but in reality it is false. While the confinement nurse is responsible for caring for the baby, the mother can also learn new parenting skills from her nanny. A good nanny can also do many other things in the house. They are there to take care of the baby as well as the new mother. In some cases, it may be possible to reach an agreement where the confinement nanny does some work for other members in the family.
Healthy Meal Planning
It is essential that new mothers eat healthy foods. The nutrients in food will be passed to the baby via breast milk. This means that the mother must ensure that her diet is balanced between the nutritional needs of herself and the baby’s. It can be difficult for mothers in recovery to cook for their children, or for their spouses.
It is because most contracts for confinement nanny include provisions to cook healthy meals at minimum for the mother. This service can be provided to the entire family. But most basic contracts only require the nanny make healthy meals for the mother.
Kitchen Clean Up
The nanny often takes on this responsibility as the new mother may not have the energy or physical ability to clean the kitchen after meals. The nanny does not usually serve as the housekeeper but is often responsible to clean the kitchen after each meal.
It is unrealistic to expect a confinement nurse to do all of the laundry for large families. However, she can often be hired to wash clothes for the baby and mother. This will depend on the contract and the comfort and needs of the mother. Many nannies will work with newborns to wash clothes and diapers. This is part of the mother’s assistance role for a short time.
Skills and expertise training
A nanny will often spend considerable time teaching the new mom how to care and bathe her baby. She will help to bathe the baby and make sure that the mother is able to manage a crying baby as well as other problems that may arise.
The nanny will be there to help the mother take the baby to the doctor, or for other reasons. These are difficult times for new mothers and having a nanny can help tremendously.
These duties in indirect ways benefit the newborn baby. But the confinement nanny does more than just look after the baby. She is also there for the mother to help her recover from the birth.
